A casual vacancy has occurred in the Honley West Ward of the Holme Valley Parish Council, as a result of the resignation of Councillor R Oldfield. No request for an election has been received....

The H8 minibus service will continue until the end of August 2009. There will be a weekend Summer service (951) through the Holme Valley to Glossop.

Installation of new Chairman
At the Annual Meeting of the Parish Council Cllr Judith Roberts was elected as Chairman for 2009/2010.
Cllr Roberts is councillor for Netherthong Ward and served as Vice-Chairman for the year 2008/2009.
